Short Term Disability Insurance is a product designed to supplement your current company sponsored medical program. This insurance replaces a portion of income if you/your employees become unable to work because of a covered accident or sickness. This important benefit helps continue to pay for:

  • Food, clothing and other necessities

  • Co-payments and other medical costs

ELIGIBILITY:

​

Regular full-time and part-time employees (who work at least 20 hours per week), are eligible or this benefit, up to age 64.

  • Benefits are paid regardless of any other insurance you may have with other carriers

  • Benefits are paid directly to employee unless the employee specifies otherwise

  • Employee selects the amount of coverage based on needs and their budget

  • Coverage is guaranteed renewable until age 70

  • If an employee terminates employment, they take their coverage with them, at the same cost

  • Coverage is worldwide, up to 60 days

  • Life Insurance – Extra life insurance that helps provide financial assistance for family members as a result of the loss of your employee’s life.

  • Accident Insurance – Pays direct to your employee even if they have coverage on their health plan. Helps offset unexpected medical expenses such as emergency room deductibles and copays that can result from a fracture, dislocation or other accidental injury.

  • Cancer Insurance – Pays direct to your employee even if you have coverage on their health plan. Also helps offset the out-of-pocket medical and non-medical expenses related to cancer. This coverage also provides benefits for cancer-screening tests.

  • Critical Illness Insurance – Supplements medical coverage by providing a lump-sum benefit that can be used to pay the costs related to a critical illness, which can be expensive.

These types of coverages are either not available and are often more expensive outside of the workplace… No medical exams are required. Costs for these benefits are payroll deducted, before tax (except life and disability coverages) which makes paying for these benefits easy.
